Beach Area near Dubai

Looking for advice on which area to stay for a week this coming February. I have a work meeting in Dubai and my wife and I are looking to spend one week at a nice beach area. We don't need fancy hotels or restaurants, and prefer areas not too crowded. Just nice beaches and a couple places we can go out to eat at night. We'll have a car, so it doesn't have to be really close to Dubai, we'll certainly drive a couple hours if needed.

This will be out first time at the region, so we appreciate any advice.

thanks
FR

Ras Al Khaimah or Fujairah are both within 90 minute drives from Dubai and have excellent beaches and hotel options.

If you don't need but want/can do with a fancy hotel, the beach on Saadiyat Island (Abu Dhabi) is beautiful and is home to a Park Hyatt and a St Regis.

thank you all. Right now we're leaning towards Ras Al Khaimah. Any recommended hotels there in the USD150-200 range? Saadiyat seems nice but above our price range for this trip.

Hilton has multiple excellent beachfront properties in RAK and depending on the dates can be found in the $150-200 range.

Top end is Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah which is a legitimate international standard 5 star property, but in peak season the prices can climb higher. Slightly below those are the Doubletree Resort Marjan Island and Hilton Al Hamra Beach and Golf Resort which are at the south end of Ras Al Khaimah near Al Hamra (closer to Dubai). There is also the Hilton Resort Ras Al Khaimah which is north of town (closer to Musandam). All three of these are excellent as well and have their own beaches - and they are almost always in your price range.

There is also the Cove Rotana which has just finished renovation and expansion. And the Marjan Island Resort by Accor which is another newish property (~2 years old), but IIRC the property doesn't serve alcohol. Finally, the Rixos Bab-Al-Bahr is a 5-star "ultra all-inclusive" resort also on Marjan Island next to the Doubletree Resort.
