Northern Israel - where to stay; kosher food
Can people provide suggestions for places in Northern Israel that are nice, but not over the top pricey (under $350/room/night, at non-holiday times)? Please...not Tsvat!
Also, any suggestions for nice/different/special kosher restaurants (other than Makom B'sejera)?
For the accommodations, I'm defining "northern" as the Route 85 corridor and northward; for the restaurants, I'd drive an hour each way from where we stay.
Bonus points for getting me places close to Chativa Sheva. המבין יבין

I don't know for sure whether it's kosher, and this may be a little too far north for you, but Dag al HaDan outside Kiryat Shmona is lovely.

OK its South of Route 85 but the 85 s/b max a 20 min drive to the junction of the 90 & 85.

its at the Northeastern tip of the Kinnert, as long as you arent looking for any thing luxury, it might fit the bill, especially if you want to hit The Golan

Just found this, they're in the Golan but probably within an hour of where you'll be based. Or depending how you're driving up and back might be doable.

My favorite part of Aaretz.
For routine food, Tsfat, Tveria, even K. Shmona will have adequate food to sustain. As to better foods and places to recommend, I have a great drive for you - the Kurdish guest house and restaurant at Shtula.
Up on the Lebanese border, the best authentic Kurdish food available. During Lebanon 2 these incredible people were open 24 hours a day, and those in uniform paid what they could (!). Like so many others, I owe her a debt, but trust me, the food is out of this world.
Have many friends at "7", none I will name here
enjoy!
