Fork is one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Philly and is within easy walking distance of the convention center area.

Wirelessly posted (Palm Treo 650: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.2) 16;320x320)

I've had some excellent meals at Fork, but it is not at all in the "steak and seafood" category. if that's what you're looking for, you may not be happy with Fork. It's a lot more imaginative than steak places (vastly more so than Bookbinder's).

Thanks for the feedback.

Having spoken to my colleagues, they are all fans of Seafood, (especially as we are somewhat limited in that department in AT)we will try Devons Seafood Grill.

One other aspect was the inability to get a table before 9:15 at Fork for Saturday, and as we are working on Sunday, and also travelling,, we wanted something a bit earlier.

The Menu at Devons certainly looks good, and from their Web images, it seems like a nice place.

Will try to get some pics and report on the experience.

I just remembered McCormick and Schmick's at 1 S. Broad St right at City Hall. It has a great bar scene. It is a chain but I've always gotten good food there.

Update

We ended up going to Devons Seafood. It was good quality food, very busy but great atmosphere. Not the place to have a serious dinner meeting, but great to entertain or just have a great meal.
