Long layover at Dulles

Arriving at IAD on a UA international flight from FRA, 10 hour layover and continuing on to IAH on an early morning flight, still UA.
Know i have to go through border protection/customs.
My basic plane to check into a hotel for the night and get some winks.
Question is do I or need I re-check my bags.
Grateful for any ideas, opinions and thoughts.

You will have to re-check your bags for the IAD-IAH flight. You'll pick them up at international claim, and check them when you fly out the next day.
