Spent many a times at these two places while serving an 18 month sentence in BUF. Buffalo Brew Pub has many beers on tap with several made right there. Both have great wings.

There is an Anchor Bar location @ BUF. I don't know how it compares to the original location downtown, but that's a quick option for some wings.

There's a strip of hotels and random restaurants across the road from the airport, nothing to thrilling from my experience.

It's about a 20 min cab ride downtown, but that assuming you don't have weather issues and what not...may not be worth the risk.

Actually it is really cool to see with all the ice around the Falls. You can't get too close but a very good view.

Let me know when you'll be in town, we could meet up at BUF and grab some wings.

EDITed to say: The Anchor Bar in the terminal is very good, it's the one place in the airport that's run by people who aren't 100% Delaware North. You can't tell the difference between the original and the airport location.

I used to get to Buffalo pretty regularly and loved the little town of Williamsville. It's a close 10 minute cab ride to the airport. Also they have the greatest little tavern there with good drinks and food called the Glen Park Tavern... http://www.glenparktavernbuffalo.com/index.php

Because this thread has nothing to do with Delta Air Lines or the SkyMiles frequent flier loyalty program, the new home for this thread is the Mid-Atlantic forum, as New York, the state in which Buffalo resides, is typically considered part of the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

Anchor bar airport location

The Anchor bar in the airport has the same good food but beware the portion is about half of what you would get at the restaurant for the same price. Perhaps not a big deal unless you were expecting original sandwiches which are rather substantial.
