I've been through the combined D/E security around 5:30 am and it's not bad at all (most I've ever had to wait is maybe 5 minutes). If you can get there around 5:45 (1 hour before your flight) you should be fine.

In my experience, 1 hour before flight time is plenty. The lines move pretty quickly, and at that hour you're dealing with a lot of experienced travelers.
