Currently in the Mera lounge at CUN T2. Lounge is used by AC, *G, Priority Pass and others. It is compact, food offering is minimal (small sandwiches, nuts and cookies), but the Corona is cold. There are other complimentary beverages on offer as well.

There are two other lounges next to us, Oneworld and ____. I'll have to go outside and look.

Was just in lounge in T3 today with my two daughters. I had a Priority Pass, and wasn't expecting to be able to be admitted for all 3 of us...but it turs out that Ritz Carlton guests, which we were, are entitled to free access! Enjoyed a Stoli Bloody Mary and couple of mini turkey and cheese sandwiches...This is a decdent/comforatble lounge, if you can get access...just no access with US airline first class, elite status, or club membership.

I walked past this lounge yesterday. I seem to recall a sign out front saying Diners Club card holders could access it. Definitely no US airline fist class, elite status or club membership signs were posted.

FWIW, Priority Pass description shows that children under 12 are admitted free. I did bring my wife and two kids into the lounge back in June '10, but it was fairly empty at the time. Will try again in a few weeks.

Hi,
Is there a BA lounge at Cancun we can use as CW passengers and if so, what's it like?
Thanks

Did the Ritz staff mention it to you?

Wife and I are staying for a week in early May at the Ritz Carlton. Wondering how the process works? Does the Ritz tell you about it when they drop you off at the airport or did you just ask at the Lounge Entrance? What was required to prove you were a Ritz guest?

This sounds promising as we find the airport to be completely boring for the 3 hours they make you arrive early and it never seems to take more than 15 minutes to enter airport and then be dumped into the enormous Duty Free shop.

Thanks for whatever information you can share.

The lounge attendant asked for a copy of my bill. I told her I didn't have it on me...I think I might have had room key, but told them I had just checked out and they could call the hotel and verify. Can't recall if they actually called to verify or trusted me...but wasn't a problem? I am sure your Ritz hotel bill/receipt will suffice. You don't need to ask Ritz to make any calls...they can't escort you in, as this lounge is past security near the gates.

No the lounges are in the departure area. You will never see that part of the airport on arrival, the authorities immediately funnel you into immigration and customs (as is done in the USA) and then to the airport exit. You'd have to go back into the airport thru security, and that won't happen without an outgoing ticket.

Seem to me on departure, there was only one lounge when I asked.. and if you have the Diner's Club card, you can get into that one no charge..

Lounge possibilities for United pax?

Flying CUN - SFO on United on Sunday. Can anyone with current information let me know if there are any lounges in the terminal we will be in (terminal 3 ? Gate appears to be C 22).

No United Club or Star Alliance, but is there anything we can pay for in that terminal? (Due to flight snafu we may be there for 4-5 hours!)

We used the MERA Lounge in August 2012 (Priority Pass, flying AA,) and it was fair - computers, air conditioning, some comfortable areas to sit, basic beverages and canapés, a port in the storm of a very touristy airport with not much to offer in shopping terms.
