I'm especially thrilled because 25% off the LNF should have equated to $111.17 (at today's exchange rate), not $94.75. However, the total including tax has been adjusted to $109.79, so maybe the other site's rate was "all in," tax inclusive, and the ~$1 difference is from currency exchange rate fluctuation. Either way, I'm happy. Was hoping to find something at the Renaissance, but couldn't find a lower rate than the $229 public rate (or $219 "Savvy Traveler" package rate), so will stick with the Marriott unless I see something pop up there in the meantime.

I did, and the e-mail I got back said "on reviewing your claim we discovered that your claim was approved in error"--the site with the $161 rate only matched the original rate when they checked (I'd also provided a screenshot), but that they'd honor the discount anyway.
Meanwhile, Marriott's own site still shows that $152 rate. Should I have cited that one alone? Should I have booked a duplicate reservation (there's a 24-hour free cancel available) before submitting my claim? Are the LNF people just being confused?

Success again! Had success for an April stay in Miami recently.
