Lifetime points are missing from the profile section of the website and show as 0 in the Marriott mobile app. However, you may be able to use the work-around referenced in this blog post to see your current Lifetime Points.
You can still view your lifetime points online with the following steps:
If you call Marriott they can also tell you your lifetime points balance.

To check lifetime balances: (HT to txpenny)
1. Click "Night Detail".
2. Click "Learn More" (under the night total)
3. Click "Marriott Rewards Overview". At this point you're probably no longer logged in (because you've been thrown to an older version of the Marriott website), so log in again.
4. Click "Nights" under your current year's nights. -> The detail you're expecting showing LT nights and points will show up like before.
Lifetime Silver Elite:
250 qualified nights
1.2 million points
Lifetime Gold Elite
500 qualified nights
1.6 million points
Lifetime Platinum Elite
750 qualified nights
2.0 million points
To check your point and night balance, log into your account and click My Account > Account Overview > Nights.
"Elite Lifetime Status is determined by your total qualified nights stayed and points earned throughout the course of your membership – including your paid nights, Elite rollover nights, meeting nights and the nights and points earned on your Marriott Rewards Credit Card."
Points used by members to buyback their previously attained Elite level will be permanently deducted from their Lifetime point balance.
If an elite's point level drops below that required for the level attained, they will drop down to the next Lifetime level until points are accumulated to get them back to the next level.
Lifetime points in addition to nights now display on your Marriott Rewards account. When logged in, click on "Nights" (the blue link below the number representing your current year nights). You'll see the detail of what comprises your current year nights as well as your Lifetime Status nights.

Have you tried Ritz-Carlton, you get 2 for 1 nights, take advantage of Mega Bonus deals, max on credit cards. I was in your position about two years ago and now I'm on the verge of LT Plat (1.85M and 690 nights) good luck.

I'm lost, where did that Nights Detail go on the screen? When I view Account Overview, it used to be on the right side of the screen.

Meanwhile, Marriott is in the process of merging with SPG.
And at SPG, points are not involved in lifetime status.
How will they "resolve" the differences between the two liftetime programs in the merger?
Track record: Late checkout: SPG policy trumps prior Marriott policy.
Am I reading too much into it being available only by clicking on a "Nights" link?
(Says someone who's more ahead with lifetime nights than with lifetime points under the current Marriott system, and has precious few of either over at SPG.)

Lifetime status is independent of any annual status. Rollover nights are just nights in that regard, regardless of calendar year accrual for annual status. If you stay 100 nights this year, you have 100 lifetime nights. You also have Plat status for 2017 and a pile of rollover nights counting towards next year's status accumulation.

From various threads on FT and on Marriott Insiders, folks are saying that rollover nights, in effect, count "twice" towards lifetimes status. Meaning they are added to the Lifetime pool both the year they were earned, and again in the year that they rollover.
What I'm looking for any live language that used to appear on the website that seems to have been pulled that said:
"Elite Lifetime Status is determined by your total qualified nights stayed and points earned throughout the course of your membership – including your paid nights, Elite rollover nights..."

Nice work.... I have enjoyed some amazing vacations, first class flights (travel packages) and our honeymoon all thanks to the surplus of points.
Get the credit card, hit the mega bonuses and keep at it. It's not hard to do.

Looks like you are on about the same pace as I was pre-semiretirement. I've been a member for 28 years and you for 15+ so I'm a little less than 2X your numbers.
