Toronto Eaton Ctr. Restaurant Help

Can anyone recommend some good restaurant options within walking distace or short cab of the Eaton Ctr. property in Toronto? I'm up there next week and know more of the hotels near the Bloor property, having stayed there before. I'm guessing the options near Bloor are better in general, but I'd love to know what's around the Eaton area, especially some good ethnic food (Indian, Thai, sushi bar, etc.)

Many thanks,

Thanks!

I really appreciate the links and recommendations, guys! I'm hoping for a good stay at Eaton, and a room far away from the renovations they're doing. Bloor Marriott was okay last week, until the last morning there, my whole floor stunk of smoke, must have been a party room or something around the corner.

Chinatown is only a short transit ride away. In fact, if U walk a few blocks south, then turn right on Dundas St., U will find dozens of Chinese restaurants immediately.

At the Metropolitan Hotel, a couple blocks away from the Marriott Eaton Centre (just off Dundas St, I think), there's a wonderful Chinese restaurant called Lai Wah Heen. Some of the nicest gourmet Chinese food around.

The Hilton Toronto has the TUNDRA restaurant, specializing in "Canadian" cuisine -- lots of game from the north, etc. Very nice.

I can recommend Hy's Steakhouse on Adelaide St. W. (between King and Queen Streets, off Yonge St.); I've had great steaks and salmon there.

Dont go to the Biftheque.

Baton Rouge in the Eaton Centre has great ribs.

Best Hole in the Wall Sushi Nearby

Best Hole in the Wall Sushi Nearby

Sushi Time, about a 10 minute walk west on Queen Street, on the south side. Best ratio of quality to price in a sushi restaurant that I have ever come across.
