Non-Commissionable Rate

Hi, I reservated a room online using eBreaks rate. I see the following in my reservation.

Room 1

* Non-Commissionable Rate has been noted please inquire at check in.

Marriott eBreaks Rate is non-commissionable King Room, 1 king bed with 1 sofabed

What does non-commissionable mean? What do I need to inquire at check in?
Will the rate earn points? Is my room guaranteed?

Thanks.

Non-commissionable means if that rate is booked through a travel agent, the agent does not get a commission.

Ditto on previous post with the additional info you asked -- there should be no problem earning points, and no need to check with the front desk.

A few months ago, I noticed that they started tagging M11 and other discounted rates with this. It appears that they are somehow making it a "Mandatory Preference" thus the way it is appearing. (Mine usually says, "King Bed, Nonsmoking Room Guranteed. Portable Crib, Non-Commissionable Rate has been noted please inquire at check in.")

My gut is that this was done to catch folks trying to use certificates (EEO, etc.) with discount non-public rates. I hate it because it screws up my preferences (aka. Refrigerator/Pillows).

Anyone else know anymore?
