Why is there not a listing of email addresses on the property details page? And if you talk to someone at the Rewards line you are told that all docs have to be faxed and that they are not set up with email?

Is it an attempt to capture old world charm by using 20th century technology?

It is probably because there are so many franchise properties out there that do not use the Marriott e-mail system and even on the Marriott e-mail system everyone has their own and not all properties are using a generic "info e-mail". Look on the property site on Marriott.com or just call the property and ask for an e-mail.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for.

The title of your thread indicates that you are looking for an email address of a hotel property. See the sticky titled Compendium of Marriott website addresses for email address constructs for properties. Regarding email links at the property page on marriott.com, email links to the hotel are probably not provided there because they want inquiries to go through central reservations. Another way to get an email address of a specific hotel is to call the hotel and ask. I have done this several times when I was unable to contact them via the method outlined in the sticky.

For stay credits you can fax or mail them a copy of your folio. Chris (Marriott Concierge) indicated that in the future they will honor the emailed folio as proof of stay, but as you have already found out the mechanism for doing so (emails with attachments to Marriott Rewards customer service) is not yet in place.

I think I can probably help out on this one. All properties do have a generic email address for the property (doesn't matter if they are managed or franchised) that is used for a variety of communications. Messages to this email address are then forwarded (most times) to a particular individual's email address. As AAU described, there are a great deal of other resources that can provide the information you may seek in a much quicker fashion, and they monitor it on a constant basis. I can understand your reasoning and thoughts for wanting the property's email published, however the goal is to provide efficient, friendly and prompt response to any inquiries (hence the multitude of the posted Marriott affiliated email addresses). If I were the main contact receiving the entire mass of email, much of the time would be spent sending, deciphering and then determining the correct resource to properly, and intelligently handle it, thus decreasing time to take care of the initial request (which would then be dependant on the receiving parties response time). Hopefully this helps out a bit.

This was more of a pet peeve than anything else for me. The hotels give out a voice number for contact but no email. I have had no problem in the past contacting a property and getting an email if I needed to, but for international travel this can get expensive while you are on the road. I do understand the need to funnel specific email to the correct party.

As for the missing stay request going to the Rewards department, it is great to hear that changes are coming. I gave up my fax machine quite a while ago for a scanner and email.

Here is a novel approach. If you want a hotel's email address, call the reservations line and ask for it. I just did that for Bangkok Marriott Resort and Hong Kong JW Marriott and they worked great.
