Posted in the Marriott forum because many of us take long weekends or mattress runs. Thought this was a great opportunity for me and Mrs. Vker. Just booked a hotel in Charleston SC on points. May take our granddaughter.

Has anyone been able to book a Marriott property anywhere in Wyoming? The latest bookable date I've seen so far using the rate calendar is August 2, 2017, for the Courtyard Casper.

Well, there aren't very many in Wyoming. I couldn't book the CY in Casper either but some of the western Nebraska properties were bookable in late August (but not for the date in question).

It may just be a daytrip for me if the weather's nice.

That'll be a long day. I imagine north-bound 25 will be packed by 7am. In another thread, I posited that I may stay in Cheyenne instead so I'm better positioned to head either towards Glendo or Scottsbluff depending on the weather.

I am able to book all of the Caspar WY properties. Although a bit of a drive for me.

Give it another shot.

Looking at a single night for 8/20 or 8/21 I'm getting "No rooms available"

CY Casper says they will open reservations for that weekend "sometime next week." No date or time was given.

I'll be in New Orleans from Aug 16-20 for a conference, and I live in Chicago...So now I'm driving down to NOLA, and driving home, with a stop at the Courtyard Evansville (IN), with plans to drive to Carbondale, IL on Monday morning.

I SURE WAS. What an idiot. (I knew August, but for some idiotic reason put April in for this.) I booked the Afton, WY Fairfield on 15k points for 8/20. Going to drive up to Jackson the morning of the Eclipse.

We are making a week of it driving through some beautiful country out there.
