Marriott Anniversary email - pretty lame...

Received an email from Marriott.

"Congratulations! Celebrate (X) years with Marriott Rewards!

SkiAdcock, we appreciate your loyalty and thank you for your membership. Make your experience even more rewarding by updating your profile.

We also recommend you update your member password each year."

When I first say the email saying congrats I thought wow - are they going to do something nice for me? Nope. That's it. Just update your profile & password. Heck, this email makes the birthday email look good!

Cheers. Sharon

Wow, that is really lame. I guess I should be happy I've received nothing. I get a birthday email one year, with a night credit that never posted, and nothing since. I probably have all "contact me" options turned off.

Would have thought that 32 yrs and lifetime platinum status would be worth more than a "review your profile" message.

33's better. It asks you to review your address and phone number.

Just got this, too.

"Congratulations! Celebrate 30 Years with Marriott Rewards"

How do they suggest I celebrate, you ask? By updating my profile.

+1 Lame....

Anniversary email from Marriott

Can't believe that I have been a MR member for 7 years.

Apart from the congrats, the email reminds me to update my password (I thought I have just done that recently).

I decided to send MR a twit:

@marriottrewards - Great that you sent me this, but asking me to update my pw is just lame.
This is their reply:

Apologies for the frustration, XXXXXX! We'll pass your comment on for review.

For the first time I got one of these emails. They thanked me for my 19 years of loyalty. I have 75 lifetime nights with Marriott. I never realized how loyal I was!

Just got my 28th anniversary e-mail. Hey, it lets me know that, in Marriott's eyes, I'm not just chopped liver
