Stop wondering. The merger won't be finalized until at least mid-2016. By that time this promo will be over. And it will take a lot longer after that for any integration to take place.
So SPG is sitll separate for now and for quite a while longer.

Too bad there isn't a heads-up on what to expect with this one. I guess we'll have a couple of weeks once registration opens the 19th.

'Unlock' makes me think something tied in with the badges and maybe social media. I for one like the standard promotions as they are. I can be pretty sure of earning 40-50k bonuses quarterlyish.

Nothing in Promotion Central for me. I was looking forward to "Stay 20 nights and we'll give you enough points for a night in a low level extended stay property in a bad neighborhood."
EDIT: Mine showed up. I'm glad for the free night certificate after 2 paid nights, and would rather get these often... I tended to utilize Marriott brands always when they'd offer me a 1-4/5 free night certificate after every 2nd paid stay.
