Hmmm, not sure... my MR account has been created in Germany long time ago and when I login over marriott.de I see:
Which translates to:
If I go to marriott.com I read:
Lost in translation or got a crappy deal? If so, if I sign up on the US site I get another deal than on the German site? Anyway, signed up on the US page and my account shows I'm signed up for the 2.500 for each stay after the second.
Btw. I'm MR Gold 2015 & 2016

Has anyone had any luck in contacting Marriott and seeing if they will switch their promo?
I think it's a bit weird that some of us who commented that we can easily past the 30 nights on the 55k promo, yet they are assigning us the lower amount (maybe because they are being cheap).
I'm happy with the points as in the end this is considered an "addition" to my normal stays, but if you run a promo, Marriott should know FT exists and that all of us talk / share and may backlash on them.

Me too. This is by far the WEAKEST promotion I can recall. Because of this, I'm booking away from Marriott. I have three five-night stays in Hong Kong, at over US$200/night, and I'll get a paltry 5,000 bonus miles for a $3000+ spend? (I'm NOT going to hotel hop). Hello, IHG!

Wife got the 2K points per stay after 2nd stay. Nothing on my account as of 12/19 so I called and they said I got offer #9 (35K after 20 nights, then 2K per night up to a max of 55k). Offer is still not showing up in my online account.

"Earn 25,000 points after 20 paid nights plus 2,000 points after every additional night, up to 35,000 bonus points"
Just called customer service and requested the offer that caps at 55,000. She said it was no problem. It would be manually tracked and the additional points added when the nights are completed.

Follow up. Like I suspected can only switch to certain offers. I was told that can only swith to the offers of 15 or 20 paid nights... none of the earn 3k after 2nd stay... those one needs to be solicited for. The lady on the phone was very nice and friendly and trying her best to help me out. I would have liked to solicit her for one of my nights. Maybe 2.

Does seem that way. I got the 55k offer to start but that amount of nights is pushing it for me.

First time in a while I got the bonus I want, 3,000 bonus points every stay starting with the second for a maximum of 24,000. I will likely only have a few stays during this period so it is perfect for me.

Curious- for those who think this is a "poor" bonus:
Do you not like any of the choices? Or do you not like the one you were given?
Because it does seem to me that there's a really large number of options that should cover most travel scenarios.

Every promo is EXACTLY the same. Some people call in and are switched at first ask. Some have to hang up and call back. Year after year, 3 times a year.

No free night certs (but that's been a while)
Last time 12 & 15 nights got 25K points up front, while 10 & 15 get 10K / 15K respectively.
The double points on the second stay and on could be more profitable than the straight point ones this go around.
But there are a ton of options to at least get some points, so that is nice to me... just seems pretty typical.

10k for 10 nights... not really competitive although nobody has great bonuses for Q1 so far. $8/night isn't going to sway me very much, especially if I have to do 10 nights to collect.
It's too bad, because I really like redeeming Marriott points for Cat 2 airport properties and getting $75 worth of relative value instead of paying $100+ or having to mess around with Priceline zone bidding. That fills a nice niche in my points portfolio.
Q1 may be the quarter where I finally try out Carlson.
