Can't get any Marriott property in Downtown or Buckhead to pull up. Only limited service hotels on the outside the perimeter.

Ha! I'm likely going to be stuck there tomorrow. Got a cousin that I can stay with but he's north of Alpharetta.

Reserving a 2 night stay seems to work for some Buckhead/ATL hotels. Consider that and amend at check-in or call front desk prior to arrival?
also can use code "LPR" and the Courtyard Decatur is $179 comes up for one night

I did change my afternoon departure tomorrow to an early morning departure to get out of Dodge before the weather hits. On the bright side, many people will likely not make it into town tomorrow, opening up hotel rooms throughout the city.

....but will the hotels try to take advantage of stranded travelers and gouge?

Maybe airport properties, but less likely for Decatur/Buckhead/Midtown/Perimeter properties.
