I have searched a little on this site already and found these codes and ones for Avis car rentals, as well. Does anyone know if there are any comprehensive lists for any other hotel chains or car rental agencies?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Used ENT to knock the rate down from $199 to $130 at the Indianapolis Marriott downtown last week. They didn't even ask for the card.
The ENT rate doesn't seem widely available, though.
Can anybody offer up places where they've found it?

Is MMP also the code you would use for Friends and Family? I have a good friend who is a Marriott employee and who has in the past told me she'd be happy to provide me with a letter authorizing me to use a Friends and Family rate - if I could find the rate available somewhere.
Unfortunately, she doesn't know how to book it online. I have called various Marriotts in the past asking for the "Friends and Family Rate", explaining that a Marriott employee has told me to do so and will provide me with a letter to use for the stay. The hotels have always told me that they don't offer the rate, so I wonder if I'm totally barking up the wrong tree or asking for this incorrectly.
FWIW, I'm tried this at domestic US Residence Inns and (main brand) Marriotts. It won't even work in cases where cheap weekend rates are available, so I know I'm not just barking up the tree of a sold-out hotel.
Thoughts?

Yes MMP is one of the codes that can be used for the "friends and family" BUT you usually cant book the rate on the internet (as 99%) need to have info on the location of the employee and other info it would be best if you find a rate to have your friend call up and do the res with your info as the friend can give all the required info to the res agent

Sorry mama I gots to get all the free miles I can.

Is the SW8 Southwest Airlines rate available to the general public? It seems that some have gotten postcards from Southwest etc. (indicating that it is), however the Rate Rules indicate that some sort of card is needed at check-in. Is this just a rapid rewards card?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Is any type of card/authorization needed to use the M11 and M12 Marriott Rewards member codes?

MileKing,
No special card or ID is needed for M11, but in order to find this rate on the Marriott site, you do need to log in with your account number. So I assume that a person would simply need to be a Marriott Rewards member to get it.
Makin' Miles,
I believe the SW8 rate only requires the Southwest RapidRewards account card.
I've booked similar rates in the past under both Continental and United Airlines codes and was never asked to present those cards upon checkin.
The best rule of thumb, as you've done, is really just to examine the rate rules closely. Most times, if a card, coupon or ID is required, it will state so very clearly.

MMP Rates
I think MMP Rates can be booked over the net. It is just that during check in, you will need to present the correct paper work. And, indeed, not all Marriott properties offer these rates. So, the hotels you call, may indeed do not have the rate codes in their system.

MMP vs MMF
One thing to straighten up: MMP is for current Marriott associates (officially dubbed as "Associates' Pleasure Rate") while MMF is for Family and Friends. The rates differ slightly with the former being the cheaper ones... =)

Something that is probably unethical, but has worked well for me.
On the Marriott.com website for each specific hotel property, "nearby businesses" are typically listed along with the hotel amenities, restaraunts, etc. It seems logical (and my experience has shown it to work) that these nearby companies would be likely to have special corporate rates with the hotel.
As mentioned previously in this thread, its usually pretty easy to guy the 3-letter code for most big companies (FED=federal express, COK=Coca Cola, BOA=Bank of America, etc.) I usually run through the list of company and drop in 3 digit codes and typically find one that works pretty well. Just this week I got a room for $89 that would have been $159 with no code.
