I think that the disney cast member associate is something for Disney members only to use if they wish to stay at the hotel -- they may ask you to produce a Disney I.D., so it may not be too good of an idea to book this rate or solely have this reservation. If they are both Day of Arrival by 4 PM cancellable, and if you are to arrive before then, you could cover yourself with another reservation, or you could call the hotel and ask them what the rate means.
Entertainment rate is a sure go, and buying any book is ok. Also, you probably could use the Hawaii card for the fine Dining restaurants in your area, after your trip to HI, although some of the numbers may have been used by you when dining in HI!
The Entertainment rate is probably the one that you should at least consider as a backup, as I think that the Disney Cast member rate will be a no go.
Good Luck!

I really don't understand what that means. Are you saying that all reservations will be at some higher non-qualified rate that will be reduced only at check-in and showing appropriate ID? And is Marriott going to stop dealing with Travelzoo? Or are we going to have to go through Travelzoo directly to get those rates? Please elaborate!

Have been following the discussion around Marriott codes. Booked (about a month ago) 5 nights at the Orlando Renaissance Resort - $89/night using the code "local promotion rate (LPR)". Avoided other rates that indicated an ID was required - is not my intention to use something that is not available to the general public. Nothing ever came up to indicate an ID was required at check-in, however my reservation does say "MRWD - MEMBER OFFERS". Does anyone know what that represents and whether ID will be required? It would appear the code may mean different things at different locations???????
Thanks....
Thanks....

shortly after posting my post above, I tried code NPR. Gave me a "Canadian Resident" rate of $79/night - even lower than the $98/night rate I had previously. No requirement other than being a Canadian resident - right down my alley :-). Called Marriott rewards and asked them to change my promo code - no problem... now shows $79 on my reservation online.

NOVAGOLF:
Too bad that the "Canadian Resident" rate of $79/night that you booked isn't in Canadian Dollars!

The mrwd-member offer you mention above is special rate for Marriott Reward Members. Usually something advertised in your newsletter and accessible by using M11 code.

cndij - I think you are right - I may have used the M11 code to get the original rate - but still wasn't sure what the code represented - thank you!.
As for the Canadian dollar, is up over 20% vs. US dollar in past 8 months - currently over 75 cents on the dollar - excellent exchange rate which makes the deal even better (although $79 at par would have been great :-)
