* All rooms are suites at this property. Only difference is some have french doors between the living area & bedroom, and others don't. Ask for a room facing the Wynn - better view. All rooms have programmable safes in the closet.
* PAG is $10FB coupon or 500 points.
* There is not an executive lounge. Gold/Plats get free breakfast in the restaurant - either buffet breakfast or main item off the menu. No coupons. Server will just ask for your room number.
* Gold/Plats get free hi-speed internet ($12.95 option), which also includes 3 devices. Free wifi in the public areas for all guests, whether elite or not.
* Walking distance to monorail or to the strip where one can catch the Deuce bus that runs along the strip. If you have a car, $10.00 per day self parking fee.
* Staff some of the friendliest/helpful in the entire Marriott chain!
* Detailed trip report in this post; it's a year or so old but still pretty accurate:

We just wrapped up a stay here a few days ago, and I wholeheartedly agree that it's a great property. The staff really are first-rate. The price was really quite decent as well. It's a wonderful option if you're looking to not stay at a casino.

Video Review
I recently stayed at the Las Vegas Marriott in Las Vegas Nevada for 3 nights and did a little video review of a king bed room.
If you'd like to see what the hotel grounds and king bed room look like then check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7YI279dKNk
The Las Vegas Marriott is located across the street from the Las Vegas Convention, and about two blocks from the North end of the Las Vegas Strip, near the Encore and Riveria hotels. The Las Vegas Marriott is a 17 story 278 room hotel. I like to stay here because there is convenient parking, that you can get to the garage quickly from your room. In most Las Vegas hotels the parking garage is a 20 minute hike from the actual hotel rooms!
This hotel used to be a "Marriott Suites" so most of the rooms are "suite style" with a separate living room and bedroom. The hotel was remodeled a few years ago when they did the switchover from the "Marriott Suites" to the just the regular "Marriott" property. There is no concierge lounge here, but gold and platinum guests do get a free full breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby.
The rooms here are all very quiet due to the "suite" design. I found the bedding to be comfortable, the Air Conditioning to be cold, and the sleep quality to be good. What more can you ask for?

Hey Everyone,
I'm planning a really special trip here to surprise the wife for our anniversary. Just wanted to make sure, we are talking about the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa?
Does anyone have any suggestions, on any room upgrades to ask for? I really want to make this special (I know they're all suites, but still). How would one go about doing so? Did anyone try the Spa?
Any general Las Vegas suggestions too are welcome!

Renovated Rooms
Hi SkiAdcock
Where the rooms really good now that they are updated.
Used to stay here quite often but the rooms become soooooo tired.
So recently have been staying at Cosmo, but pricing has gotten out of control on weekends. Would like to get back to the Marriott.
Thanks
Robert

You can order off the menu or do the buffet, but not both. Also, there are two "secret" items you can order that are not on the menu: Lox and bagel platter (I had that one morning, very nice), and steak and eggs (did not try).
Very nice servers and overall a good stay.

Back at property again for annual trade show. Hotel is 100% capacity. Staff is FANTASTIC as always - and working their derrieres off. The restaurant/bar is packed in the mornings & evenings, yet they handle everything well & with a smile. The GM pitches in along w/ everyone else during this busy time.
I noticed yesterday morning that at one end of the bar, for breakfast, they've set up a Starbucks station w/ SBux coffee, muffins, etc, I think. Slightly partitioned off from rest of bar/restaurant area. I think that's for those who want just a quick cup of joe/don't want to have to sit down for brekkie. In the evening the entire bar is back to a bar. I don't know if they're just doing that for the show or if they do that all the time. I'll ask.
Pretty much everything else I've reported in previous stays is still the same.
Cheers.

On a dif note, the restaurant/bar staff deserves major kudos. I was meeting a group of 8 for drinks before they headed off to dinners last night. But another guy invited 70 of his colleagues/clients for drinks before their dinner - and all 70 arrived at the same time! Plus other hotel guests who had come back from the show. In the space of just a few minutes they had to contend w/ over 100 folk wanting drinks/appetizers. It was a zoo & the staff was run ragged (they certainly didn't need to do any cardio at the gym yesterday!), but they kept up & did it all w/ a smile.
Cheers.

NAB I assume. Every hotel near the Convention Center is packed this week for the NAB. How a hotel performs when full tells me a lot.
I have to ask if anyone has stayed at both the Marriott and the Renaissance down the street. I stay at the Ren and although the rooms are smaller, the staff (and the view!) are fantastic.
