Fall/Winter Megabonus
Between Sept 15, 09 and Jan 31, 2010 we can earn up to 50K bonus points.

35K with 20 stays, 15K more with 25. Must be paid with Visa...

I was automatically enrolled.....woo hoo

Mine is up to 25,000 points per the following:

My Dad who is a Platinum received the following:

Mine is 25K for 15 nights and another 15K if I can get to 20 nights. So yes, I suspect that the OP's promo is nights based not stays.

Well seems my promo is totally different this time. I got:

You had me scared with that "stays" language. Mine is nights not stays:

As a reminder, in the past, PLTs and sometimes GLDs have been able to call up and get switched to a different MegaBonus.

Very true, but also, they normally haven't been able to "switch" someone to the double points/nights version due the fact that they don't actually switch you. What they do is note that you prefer a different promo version and then at the end of the promo an agent has to manually look at your account, calculate what you would have received if given the previous and then manually credit you the difference.
