Does Marriott Status Match?
 

I am a Diamond with Hyatt and have been sort of frustrated with their service lately. I was wondering, if I Marriott matches status and give me a chance to switch to them.

PLease share if anyone has had any success getting status matched.

Marriott does not match.

Marriott generally does not match, but some posters have reported success.

I recommend you take longing4piedmont's suggestion and do a search.

I didn't get a match, but I did get a comp to platinum (!). At the time, I was Diamond with Hilton, and I had a history of doing business w/Marriott, as well as future plans. I spoke with the folks at SLC, and wound up mailing all my documentation, along with a cover letter.

I was polite, and asked them for some consideration --- I expected Gold and got Platinum.

PS - I've put in over 90 nights since then, so I guess it was a pretty good gamble on their part. :)

Some are lucky and some are not. We sent in everything (HHDiamond) was staying at a full-service Marriot and they wouldn't do anything. We now have over 100 nights at Hilton with only 6 at a Marriot. Give it a try with Marriot.
