The islands just hit look likely to get hit again, this time by Maria, & this time it looks Puerto Rico will take a direct hit.

Marriott’s Updated Statement on Hurricane Maria
All guests and associates have been accounted for and we have no report of injuries at this time. While most of our hotels are open, some hotels in the affected areas have sustained damage. Efforts are underway to fully restore operations but some hotels may have temporary interruption or limited availability of guest services.
We can confirm that the following properties are not operating until further notice:
The Ritz-Carlton, St Thomas
Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort
Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, Autograph Collection
The Westin St. John Resort Villas
The Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa, St. Maarten
W Retreat & Spa – Vieques Island
While many of the hotels affected by the storm are waiving cancellation fees for confirmed reservations, for the most up-to-date information, please visit the hotel’s website.
Marriott International has established a resource line for those looking for information about guests and associates who may have been impacted by the hurricane and for information regarding existing reservations. The number is (866) 211-4610. For those calling outside the U.S. and Canada, the number is +1 402-390-3265. The resource line is staffed from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (ET).
