I tried finding any current/upcoming promos for Marriott stays but couldn't find any (sorry I didn't search well).

Anyone know of anything going on like Megabonus or the like?

current promo ends on 30 April, but if MR follows previous years, new promo won't start until 01 June

I just looked at the Promotion Central for my account and was informed about registering for Summer Bonus and here are the details the deal they are offering me:

Earn up to 40,000 bonus points with Marriott Rewards® Summer Bonus when you stay at any participating Marriott® hotel worldwide. With the world’s most distinctive array of hotel brands, you’re always on the road to something amazing.

To earn your bonus points:
Register by June 30, 2012
Stay 15 paid nights at any participating hotel between June 1 and August 31, 2012
Earn 20,000 bonus points, plus an additional 10,000 points after 20 paid nights, and another 10,000 points after 25 paid nights (up to 40,000 points)

This summer, imagine more. You’ve earned it.


Anyone else receive this promo or something different?

I'm a plat and just saw the exact same promotion. I do like the fact that this one only requires 15 nights to hit the first level. I'll take it.

I got 3 free nights for 6 stays.


"Marriott Rewards® members who register for this promotion by June 30, 2012, will earn one (1) free night award at a category 1-4 hotel after every second paid stay made between June 1, 2012, and August 31, 2012, at a participating Marriott property.
Maximum three (3) free night awards earned with this promotion per member."

I am a PLAT based on "meetings".

Check you account under promotion status. Looks like the June 1st promotion just showed up.

I got the 40K in 25 nights promo and just called them to switch over to the 3 free nights in 6 stays. But she said I need to call in manually because I already click the "Registered" button for the 40K in 25 nights.

As a Premier Plat, I guess they think I stay enough already. Got a fairly useless (for me):

Earn 5,000 bonus points for each weekend stay up to a total of 15,000 points. Basically, stay three weekend nights on different stays and I get 15,000 points.

Will definitely cal and switch to one of the other two promotions above.

I got the same 40K/25 nights promo as the OP. Not as good as the current megabonus, since it takes 5 more nights to earn the same 40K I just got for 20 nights this bonus period. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain. With all the fine "enhancements" Marriott is making to the program, the next bonus will probably be 25K for 40 nights.

The discrepancy between 25 nights = 50K in the spring and 25 nights = 40K in the summer has been consistent for 3 years.

Summer travel probably drives this, less need ot reward people for something they already plan to do.

I got this same promotion...normally I don't like the 1-4 certificates so I may call and switch. Since it doesn't start until June, I'll wait and see what else may be out there.

I have my preference set to Miles (as I'm currently participating in MegaMiles on stays this week), and don't see anything new, so I presume only MegaBonus (points) promos have been "announced" so far, no new MegaMiles (miles) promo yet.

(I presume I could see my MegaBonus promo right now if I switched to points, but I don't want to switch to points until I'm done with my 3 stays this week and the posting of them. Since the next points promo doesn't start until June 1, I think I have plenty of time. :) )

hmmm, my offer is completely different, up to 15,000 points based on how many brands I stay with - nothing to do with number of nights:

Register by June 30, 2012
Stay at two brands in the Marriott® portfolio between June 1 and August 31, 2012 - Earn 2,500 bonus points.
Stay at three brands, and earn another 2,500 points, plus an additional 10,000 points when you stay at four brands (up to 15,000 points)
