...PLAT's should get free breakfast at CY. And resorts. And on the weekend. And for their family of 12.

...X happened to me 10 minutes ago, and I think the hotel should have given me 5,000,000 points, but the GM hasn't called me back, so what is Mr Marriott's address/phone?

... It isn't right. I spend XXX nights and think I should get suite upgrades. And free parking. And free internet..oh wait, got that, so what else was it I wanted?
Excellent! ^ You might want to throw in a "Marriott lied!" or two. Or maybe something about "all booze should be free because I stay in Marriotts when I could just as easily stay in Super 8s!"

Thanks Marriott for listening and releasing the list. Makes it easier for people to plan.

PS - Next year it would be nice if you did it up front to save time, effort & virtual boos

But again, thank you.

Cheers.

Thanks for the post Marriott.

I noticed in the initial post that the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa seemed to be noted as moving from a Category 5 to a Category 6. However, the more recent post does not indicate same. Might you be able to confirm?

Much appreciated.

It looks like they changed overnight. What happened to after March 8,2011?

They probably should have said starting w/ and after March 8th, but most on this thread interpreted it to be March 7th was the last day to get ressies in, if I read correctly.

Cheers.

I recently booked a one night stay in DC using points for a dinner/drinks/stay in the city kind of evening with the wife. The property I selected moved up one category.

Of course, my reservation now shows:
"The certificates attached to this reservation may not match the number of days, room type, or other features of your stay. Please call Guest Services to ensure you have the proper certificates for your reservation."

I'm sure it will be fine, but what a pain. It should be transparent to me.

I'm getting the same message-- I used a Marriott Premier Visa renewal cert (Categories 1-5) at a property that moved from Cat 5 to 6. It is a pain-- I know that old reservations from before the adjustments will be honored, but I'm sure people in similar situations who do not read FT will have to spend time calling to confirm.

I had to cancel a rewards reservation for tonight at a hotel that changed categories and it claimed that I didn't already have a cert issued, so I didn't get my points refunded. Looks like I'll need to call in to customer service to get my points back.

Well this change just totally broke a reservation I had... as predicted one of the Cat4 hotels I stay at went to Cat5. I was using one of the promotional Visa Cat4 certs and the reservation was confirmed before the hotel update... now the hotel is a cat5, my reservation says I don't have the proper cert attached and it deducting 25k points for an award stay. In addition, my cat4 Visa cert no longer appears in my account.

So much for hotels going up in category not screwing up existing reservations... now we get to get bounced around from cust service agents to try to get it fixed.
