How do you get Bonus MR Points without use of a MR credit card?
It is my understanding that you can get more marriott points by using a marriott credit card but I will not be able to do that. It got me wondering if there is a better way on each stay to earn marriott points. I will not have the advantage of having a marriott rewards credit card to bump up the bonus points.
Of course I know when promotions runs to take advantage of those but for the person who travels 2 to 4 times a week and stays in one of the marriott hotels, is there a way to accumulate bonus points up and above the normal marrriott hotel rate since i will not have the added advantage of having a marriott rewards credit card?
Other companies let you get points for dining, shopping on line, etc and I was wondering what other ways can I earn points faster with Marriott so I can build up to 7 free nights at a high level hotel.

As an extension to this point, just having a Marriott branded CC will get you Silver elite, not to mention the bonus points from the initial sign-up from the card. So even if you can't use the Marriott CC for your stays, it can still be very beneficial to have one, especially the Premier card.

Get the Premier card because it will give you 15 elite nights each year. This will make it easier to hit gold and platinum, and the 25 and 50 % elite bonuses, respectively, will kick in earlier. The annual free night certificate is also worth the $65 annual fee (category 1-4 upon signup and category 1-5 upon subsequent anniversaries).
