I'm sure that the changes I see this morning are an improvement. The "upcoming reservations" screen, accessed from either the "change/cancel reservations" link or "view all upcoming reservations" in the "my account" drop down menu is now very different. The new layout is, in some ways, cleaner and simpler, but for me it is very confusing.
All upcoming reservations are now listed in a box on the right side of the screen, and you can only see three at a time. When you scroll down to see more upcoming reservations, the previous listings are hidden from view. I'm sure that this is adequate for most people, but for those of us who book several rooms at once, and/or have dozens of reservations booked up to a year out, the inability to see more than three reservations listed on the screen is a confusing and frustrating.
One problem is that the reservations are often listed by room, instead of grouped by stay. This means that when I have six rooms booked (as I often do), I cannot see all of my rooms listed on a single screen, and I cannot get an easy visual count of my rooms. I now have to write down each reservation number, display its details individually to check whether it is for more than a single room, and keep a tally of how many rooms I have booked. Not being able to see all of my rooms for a single stay on one screen makes canceling a room scary. This morning I just spent a good ten minutes obsessively checking and re-checking before dropping a room, because I wanted to be certain that I had the correct number of rooms. It was very anxiety producing. I have 12 rooms booked for next weekend and I am dreading the work I'm going to have to do to be sure that the booking is correct.
It's also frustrating not to be able to see very far ahead. With only three reservations displayed in the box, I cannot just scroll down to get an overall sense of my upcoming travel. If I have booked two hotels for the same dates in order to protect a rate while I decide which one I want to stay at, I cannot even see that I have done so, because both reservations do not appear together on the same screen (because I have multiple rooms).
I am totally willing to believe that this is an improvement for most people, and that my needs are just weird, but I really don't like this change. I would be very happy if there were a place on the website where I could opt for a full screen view of my upcoming reservations. If anyone finds it, please let me know. Until then, pass the Xanax.

the new display is awful...
there should be a way of seeing all your reservations... in a list..
Yeah, I have to agree with others, the web site changes suck.
I had to call Marriott Rewards to correct my Rome Marriott points and get them to also post the Platinum Arrival Gift points which they conveniently omitted. I registered a complaint with Marriott Rewards, but also asked with whom the complaint should be directed. They said customer care and connected me to them. Customer care was totally clueless about any changes, so they referred me to Internet Customer care, and even though I pressed 2 to talk with someone about the web site, I got Candy from reservations who also was clueless. I told her that I was looking for someone with whom I could register a complaint about the web site, and she transferred me to customer care, and around and round we go. Customer care was busy so they gave me the option of leaving a message, so I asked them to return my call at the Istanbul RC.
Hey, Marriott Concierge, please follow-up and let us know what the IT department was thinking this time around and when they intend on changing it back to a user friendly environment instead of a marketing gimmick. BTW, if they haven't yet figured out basic web design, clicking more times is counter productive. At least their web page is about as productive as my experience on the telephone earlier trying to contact someone that had a clue.
The last time they made changes they introduced the bandwidth hogging home page, which still sucks IMO. If you want more of an explanation than "it sucks", please feel free to do a search to see previous posts from others and myself with regard to your home page redesign. I am still waiting on an explanation from anybody at Marriott of the home page fiasco that was introduced months back. Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww... But at least it looks pretty.

I absoutly abhor the changes, I was shocked when I logged in today. I have 15 upcoming reservations, and it is a difficult to scroll thru to find one of my upcoming reservations. You've dumb down your website and removed a lot of valuable information in your attempt to add beautification to the site. These changes may be good for Ma and Pa kettle who travel a few times a year. But for someone with 100+ nights at 50-75 different properties with travel booked months out, these changes
If you make similar changes to the booking end of the website and make it harder to find info when booking a property, I will just take business elsewhere.
Like the others who have commented, these changes are not positive.

Trip inspiration = more rubbish instead of solid content.
Thank you for the great feedback everyone. I will share your suggestions with the team at Marriott and determine what can be worked back in.

Good...this new website is terrible. I thought Hilton was bad (which I stopped staying at Hilton's because two reasons: 1) Website frustrations and 2) de-value of points).
