Always test one gc before buying too many that you cannot liquidate.
As of 6/2017:
HB Vanilla mc & visa issued by Bancorp - liquidate at PO or some grocery stores, not WM. The Bancorp gcs are easier to liquidate.
Vanilla mc issued by MetaBank - might be able to liquidate at Kmart BP, Paypal, not WM or PO.

Just as a point of reference:
I went to Sam's Club in Medford, Long Island, NY yesterday.
Was told by cashier and manager that new Sams's club policy:
NO CREDIT CARDS ALLOWED TO BUY GIFT CARDS.
Anybody else have this issue?
I would like to go to New Jersey on Monday and don't want to run into the same problem.
How about the rest of the country?
I went to Sam's Club in Medford, Long Island, NY yesterday.
Was told by cashier and manager that new Sams's club policy:
NO CREDIT CARDS ALLOWED TO BUY GIFT CARDS.
Anybody else have this issue?
I would like to go to New Jersey on Monday and don't want to run into the same problem.

Yesterday I bought 2 OVMC (Meta) and 1 VMC for $1500 + fees. It shows $250 redeemed on my AMEX account but the credit hasn't posted.
I was able to by a MO with the VMC but the 2 OVMC's were declined at 3 different places.

Has anyone had issues getting credit back on the Sam's Club Amex deal for an AU purchase? I have two separate logins for myself and my AU, and we both have the offer added.
Data points
1/13 - I purchased three $500 MGC's in three separate transactions, transactions post to Amex.
1/14 - $250 credit received for my purchase
1/14 - AU purchased three $500 MGC's in three separate transactions, transactions post to Amex.
as of 1/17 - no AU credit posted
