DOes anyone know if NW Buxx loading can be used to fulfill the recent spending promotion for Citi Premier card? I think they were offering additional 10k TY points for 3k spending. I remember seeing somewhere that Citi doesn't consider NW Buxx loading for their promo spending offer.

Worked fine to meet minimum spend on my Prestige, i imagine it would work the same for Premier. Just codes as regular purchase.

Based on my recent experience, you've got nothing to worry about. If they were going to shut someone down after a review, they would've shut me down. I think they're making enough money off us now!

Is there a maximum single-transaction amount? I thought I saw that specified somewhere as $500, but can't find it anymore. Or is the transaction limit just limited by the $800 total purchase limit per 7 day period?

It's $800. So many $799.30 money orders from Walmart.

*cringe* I just withdraw at my local -4 ATM and later deposit elsewhere (usually BoA). A lot easier than waiting at WM... that I leave for when it's absolutely necessary (currently any AX bonuses)

Has anyone had a new teen card request rejected after it was submitted? If so, how long did you have to wait until your online account access was unlocked?

ATM WD limit is $60/wk IIRC. I'm not sure what the metric is that flags it, but I got my account frozen for repeative loading of the GO card from my TD CC and liquidating through MOs. I wasn't even depositing the MOs at TD either. They unlocked everything after a long phone call but warned that it was "not the intended use of the GO card".

I use Arrival+ to load NW buxx. It is a purchase. I don't know if it goes pending as CA first, but it definitely posts as a purchase.

It does go as CA first then codes as purchase. Seems most cards are this way.

Hey guys,

I just signed up for the nw buxx card. I'd be very thankful if I can get some things clarified.

1) Can I add myself as a teen to my card?
2) Can I add my wife as a teen to my card?
3) For what I've read I can load $200/week, is this per teen?
4) Can I pay amex/chase/citi cards with this card? Is it recommended?
5) Do you recommend letting the money sit in the account for some days/weeks before withdrawing via ATM?
6) Do you recommend keeping a balance on the account?
7) What triggers shutdowns?
8) I have Citi offers on 3 cards (AAdvantage MC Plat, AAdvantage Visa Gold, Hhonors Visa). Will loading Buxx with them count towards the spend needed to complete those offers?
9) Anyone tried to load with BOA Virgin Atlantic card? Does it post as CA or Purchase? I'm thinking of getting this one for the 90k miles but need to do like $12k in 6 months which I could do organically but I'm working on so many cards it's gonna be tough...

Would appreciate any/all recommendations.

Thanks!

My experience:

1,2,3,8 yes

4 citi. Have heard that using debit to pay can be a trigger for shutdowns. I have used before and they put my NW number on file so it was no problem. However I tried to use my NW to pay my husbands citi Amex and it would not go through. When I gave my husband's NW which was on file for that account it went through no problem. So I just used my NW to pay my citi aadvantage MC which had my number on file.

5 I usually load and unload to my BB at WM same day.

6 never have a balance

7 would like to know that myself

9 don't have so don't know. Sorry.

I only use to meet minimum spends and used last year when it had higher limits to get to Marriott gold.
