Does not work anymore, is dead..... what is the point to report 'not working'?
As of 08/25/2014, Bancorp cards (Vanilla Visa, OneVanilla, etc.) are rarely working first try for debit transactions at Walmart. There is no apparent geographical basis. Basically, it's a crapshoot.
Do not agitate a cashier or store and lose the ability to make these transactions in the future. Multiple failed swipes or transactions will likely increase scrutiny. You do not want that. It is best to stop using these cards.
Vanilla VISA defaulting to credit
As of 5/29/2014, at most Walmart locations, all Vanilla VISA cards issued by The Bancorp Bank are automatically recognized as credit. Most Mastercard have required a workaround for some time. The MoneyCenter Express (ATM, kiosk, Kate) is not affected by this change.

MO Purchases using OV @ WM
I was not able to buy MO at my local walmart today. The error message is as below
"A money order or money gram has been purchased in this transaction. MO & MG must be purchased with cash or debit. If the customer wants to pay for other merchandise with a different type of tender (Check, shopping card, CC ), please tender the MO separately with cash/debit... blah blah..."\
Any one else experienced this today? Is WM software upgraded to reject OV Cards now?

I'm confused...OP, are you saying when trying to buy an MO with your OV while using it as a debit, you couldn't?
There's like 15 threads here that talk about cashing out OVs/VGCs, etc.

Really newuser0 - come on, use BB loads at WM, use AFT, use MO purely as debit, or use Bill pay at WM or 7-11, there are so many ways. Also, what does Visa Buxx have to do with OV??? WHY WOULD you load OV on Visa Buxx???

I used to buy MO at my WalMart using my OV (from CVS) till now. Today, for my surprise, When the cashier asked me to swipe my card, the register spit out a receipt saying the above mentioned message.
She tried again, no go. As soon as I swipe, the swipe pad shows a sign screen (like we get after we swipe for a purchase using CC)
My assumption is that now WM is treating OV as CC instead of debit? Any one else been successful getting OV-> MO today?

OK that would be VERY new. Until now that occurred with MC GC and you had to hit cancel to change to debit, but it is possible that this has changed...
