AAA - no processing fee giftcards

Not sure if this was mentioned elsewhere, please feel free to move if so.

Saw this on slickdeals - http://slickdeals.net/f/6360544-no-p...or-aaa-members

No $4.95 processing fee in November and December.

AAA Prepaid Giftcards

Upon further research and reading the T&C, turns out these Visa giftcards are issued by Metabank, and also PIN enabled (however, it's done over the phone?) - Terms & Conditions

Some additional info..
-NEED AAA Account
-Up to $500 per gift card available
-$2.95 shipping fee (according to slickdeals), but able to get at your local office as well - locations

So........
Possible MS???
Not sure if AAA would be considered "travel - related expense" to perhaps utilize Chase Sapphire Preferred, for example. :P

I actually just purchased a AAA membership on my Ink Bold. Is there anyway to see how it was classified as far as bonus rewards are concerned? When I look at the transaction on Chase.com it is classified as "Legal & Professional".

Looks like there are "quick deposit fees" in addition to the gift card fee of $4.95, so probably not worth it. Unless, the fee is waived at local office. I don't have an office near to test.
Load Amount: $100.00-$500.99 ($10 quick deposit fee)
$501.00-$1,000.99 ($20 quick deposit fee) $1,001.00-$1,500.00 ($30 quick deposit fee)

Not sure where you got that from? I think you are looking at the AAA TravelMoney Cards. Additionally, the maximum denomination per card is $500, so those load amounts are definitely referring to something else?

I actually don't have an AAA membership so I will be going with a friend who has. Need to find out how many of these I can actually get.

I have an office right by my house. I might go pick up a $500 just to test it out.

Did you go to a local office to confirm? Did you press?

Even if the local office is cash/debit only, then online with 2.95 fee / $500 still isnt terrible and a solid alternative to VR, esp if it is coded as "Travel Expense" for CSP users.

I made a purchase at an AAA office on 10/19 with SPG Amex. Category shows as:

Entertainment - Associations

MCC classification of my local AAA office is something like "organizations", so I don't think there are any bonus category opportunities here.
