Amex Hilton Hhonors- 6X at Drugstores - ends exactly when?

Yes, I know that the great HH 6X Drug Deal is going down soon. Got a couple o' questions about the details of that and manufactured spend...

Can anyone confirm that NEW accounts, opened after the terms & conditions were updated in January, still earn 6X points at drugstores?

Also, what exactly is the cutoff date when the 6X will no longer be honored? I've heard "May". Is the cutoff 5/1/13 or 5/31/13?

Whichever day, I'd expect the CVS parking lot to be a zoo...

Thanks.

Neither. Why would you not read the blog link I gave in earlier post in similar thread?

Here is the language on the 02/08 statement we just received. (drug stores remain 6x on this billing cycle and my interpretation of the following is, it would stop after your May statement closing date. So everyone has a different cut off date determined by the card's statement date in May.)

The eligible purchases also are amended, with the same effective date.

Effective with your first billing period that begins on or after May 1, 2013, you will no longer earn additional points for eligible purchases at drugstores, wireless and home telephone services, cable and satellite TV and internet service providers.

Eligible purchases do NOT include (Capital letter in the notice)

fees or interest charges
balance transfers
cash advances
purchases of traveler's checks
purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, or
purchases of any cash equivalences

Essentially, it is EXACTLY as what Gary blogged about after receiving the update from AMEX Management the day after The Frequent Miler blogged about the Feb 1st date and Gary reached out to AMEX for clarification.

Like I posted before, AMEX Management would not "leak out" the information to a popular blogger had it not been a fact - just a matter of time before such fact became "official" in the Notice on the Feb statements sent out to cardholders.

Thanks, that helps.

Makes me wonder about fiddling with the closing date. Hmmm...

Hilton Amex - Still 5x at drugstore?

Is that true? If so, AXON awards aren't that bad after all to reach?

Since nobody is helping you, I think this deal (drugstore 5x) ended May 1.

Why are you quoting me? Shouldn't be quoting the OP? Is it wrong to help a person if the answer is too obvious or googleable? I was gonna ignore, but I felt bad nobody paying attention.
