Pretty please, can they fly some VGCs to large gas station chains?

It's not a big deal anymore. Most of my local Wally worlds now sell GCs for a $1 less and all on one transaction. This would mostly be useful for Amex grocery bonuses, since they don't consider WM to be grocery.

$6.95 for a $200 maximum VISA is definitely a pig.

Variables are finally back in my Randall's...

However, there are only 20-200 for $6.95 a piece, i.e., pretty much useless. Have you seen anything better?

up to $500 variable is back

Just noticed up to $500 variable is back. But I'm not sure what's the maximum amount you can buy in one trip and I don't know how to cash out them (Walmart here is dead on gift card.)

Chip reader just installed here in WA state. $500 variables are back with $5.95 fee and last 4 PIN. Assuming they'll work at friendly local WM. Used to be signs all over for a $200 transaction limit on gift cards, but those are gone. Just bought one for $300 with a cc, no problems. No ID check, no asking to see the credit card from a checker who I know enforced the old rules.

Also got a $10 off future grocery purchase coupon, triggered by $150 spend.

Confirmed, one of my local Safeways removed the $200 limit signs and the variable $500 cards are back on the shelves now that chip readers are installed. Guess GCM is pressuring them to sell them again since their sales took a hit. Didn't try to buy any...but good to know they're back.

Does anyone know if the EVERYWHERE vgc promotion ($10 off) national or regional? Did not see any sign in store, and couldn't find it in the paper ad either. Thx!

I wonder if this means you can now purchase Reloadits for $500 again?

Before the $500 variables disappeared I was always able to get them with a CC without a blink, but every time I tried a Reloadit they said "cash only"...

My past experience was everything was good to go with a credit card until one day anything variable was not. I'm not sure that anything ever got hard coded to reject cc.

Just tried a second cashier who didn't blink when I used a cc for a $500 vgc.

Checked several local stores here, all still have very prominent signs posted everywhere (2-3 at every register, impossible to ignore even by disinterested cashiers) boldly screaming no credit cards allowed for variable load cards and a $200 maximum for any GC purchase.

Variables of all sorts, Visa/MC as well as store GCs, up to $500 are back at my East Bay Safeway(chip readers installed month or two ago). Not terribly exciting seeing as my Serves are all shutdown and my local WM are a bunch of Tw@s, but it's nice to have them back for nostalgia sake
