Yes, I'm in Newnan ... South Metro area. I was able to stop at three locations on my way home from the office (in Midtown) and grab my two-card allotment. All six cards were perfectly fine. ^

Can't believe there are so many people still buying VRs at Atlanta.

Also I think this thread should be moved to Destinations>USA>South until 1st scam is reported from other than ATL

There are 2 reported here being outside ATL. The most recent one is just a few posts above yours, at CLT.

About 3 weeks ago I saw two cards on the rack obviously tampered with. I notified the store and they took it off. But I haven't even seen any vr cards in stock lately.

ditto. The only time I've purchased a VR in the last 2 months I've been travelling out of state. In ATL, I see mostly tampered with or none in stock.

You would think they'd solve this close to their main office....

Vanilla reload broken PIN scam reports

Wish I read this thread 8 hours ago. Bought2 vanilla reloads in ATL today. I'm here on business and my BB card hasn't arrived in the mail yet. Figured I would pick up a couple of vanila Reloads down here since they are tough to get at home in NYC. I just scratched off both cards to see if the full PINs are there (which they are) but unfortunately can't load since I won't have my card for a few days. I'm going to be so angry if the funds were already loaded. At least people seem to be getting a resolution...but I just don't want to deal with that process. Definitely saving my purchase receipts. I bought them from the CVS in Atlanta on 6370 Powers Ferry Road NW (just south of 285)

Just curious, how do thieves withdraw cash without being identified?

I think because nobody tries to identify them...

Good news got home last night and immediately loaded my VRs to my new Bluebird card. The cards were legit and the full $1000 loaded. I'll be a little cautious however buying VRs when I go to ATL again next month. I might just stick to loading up gift cards on BB down there at all the Walmarts.
