  • View fee free ATM withdrawals in the Bay Area. This list was provided for EBT cards (e.g government assistance) and as such doesn't include a fee free list for all card holders. It is useful as a starting point as a lot of those listed are fee free for everybody.

I haven't been able to confirm the following so if anybody could confirm for me that would be great:
  • Aldi supermarkets, not sure if fee free or low fee. Some stores don't have ATM. Don't make special trip.
  • Cardtronics ATM inside CVS locations. (Varies due to bank branding, ie, Chase affiliated Cardtronics ATM had $3 fee. On the other hand, Cardtronics ATM at a local Costco had local CU branding, was $1.25 per WD) Cardtronics inside CVS = $3 in PHX area See below:
    http://www.cardtronics.com/consumers/consumer-faq.asp
  • Eastern Washington University PUB (building) in Cheney, Washington
  • RaceTrac: Possibly only TX locations only Store locator here, hit the magnifying glass in top right corner $300 limit $2 fee in Houston as of 2/2015

I think some people are missing the point of this thread is not to introduce products where the ATM card is refunding fees, but finding the machine that is fee free.

The point of trying to find a fee free ATM is because of the various debit cards that are used for manufacturing spend.

It's actually embarrassing to see so many on the Manufacturing Spend forum not have a clue why people are interested.

You can always try Googling "no fee ATM <your city>". It will probably return a lot of old hits that are no longer accurate (if they ever were) but if you go through them methodically over time to check each out, you might hit one that actually has no fee. They do exist.

Anyone willing to share a list of ATMs they have tried in the PHX AZ area. I have quite a large list as I travel the valley and stop in when I see a new bank I have not tried.

If you know of any in the area I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm a member of two credit unions. My wife is a member of two other credit unions. None of them offer a true no-fee ATM. All of them proudly proclaim that they offer no-fee ATMs. What they really mean is that their ATMs won't charge a fee for their own members' cards (or cards of other in-network providers). This is the norm these days.

Now, I'm not saying your credit union doesn't offer a true no-fee ATM, but unless you've looked closely and confirmed, you might be surprised. I was - I expected my credit union would be better about this. They weren't. YMMV.
Mine not only offers their own and the CU network, but they have dozens of fee-free ATMs in the Philly area through the Allpoint network, even though the CU is located in Chicago. 7-11s and CVSs are all fee-free ATMs for me.

To the OP, Wawa and Sheetz ATMs are always free. I've never been charged a fee no matter what card I walk up with.

No Wawa, no Sheetz (who makes up these corporate names, 3-year olds?) in my half of the country.

That's OK, I have found a true zero-fee ATM here at a local credit union (thanks to another FTer). Zero fee no matter what card you use - this is what I was looking for.

I visit this ATM frequently now.

Allpoint is a large FREE ATM network. I know ING (CapitalOne 360) and Perkstreet use them. You can usually find them in Target and some CVS.

I thought Allpoint was only free for those card issuers that are part of the network otherwise they charge a fee. That is the way it worked at a Target near me.

Many (most?) people posting in this thread either...

1. Do not have basic reading comprehension skills
2. Failed to actually read the thread
3. Don't understand what the word "free" actually means

Or some combination of the above.

BofA standalone are $2. Branch is $3. I wonder if that's true for all major bank stand alone machines?
