3day Bigcrumbs 1.88% back on Amex GC

Finally a higher rate, but less referral commissions. Everything on BigCrumbs is higher rebate through Monday.

What do you plan on doing with so many AMEX GC? Serve? Beans? Amazon Payments?

Judy, just got an email.. for the next few days they are fee free and free standard shipping!

"The holidays are fast approaching. Wrap up your holiday shopping and give friends, family and colleagues American Express® Gift Cards. As our gift to you, when you use the promotion code below, your order will have no purchase fees.

Plus, for Black Friday weekend, November 23 – 26, you'll also enjoy free standard shipping at americanexpress.com/gift – no promotion codes necessary."

Code: HOLIDAYWER

If using the code, you will not be able to get cash back from bigcrumbs. 2-day shipping is $3

But you don't have to enter a code this weekend...

This looks like a great opportunity to meet some minimum spends for a very low cost. I'll probably do $5K to the IRS and get it back in a couple months.

What's the best way to leverage this to knock 1.5k off an amex delta card and 5k in spend on a chase ink?

I got an error when applying this code to the purchase of a business card, so with a little searching I found several references to a code of HOLIDAYWE. But, that didn't work either. (Perhaps it works with the purchase of a consumer gift card?)

But, WRAP12P worked for me, removing the $3 2-day "flash" shipping charge.

YMMV.

What about this statement quoted above?

Anyway, I used Bigcrumbs for the first time a few minutes ago and bought a "test" $200 GC. Realistically, how long before the cash back comes in? The rules say 2 wks, but does it really take that long? Furthermore, when I hit the link, the "click-thru" number showed up briefly but I couldn't copy-paste it in time. Was it really important to have saved that number? Is there a way to track my click-thrus (like with Mypoints)?

Finally--- I made the purchase using my Chase Sapphire Pref and just checked my pending charges. It is listed as "AMEX GIFT CARD". Is this what I'm supposed to see? Chase and AMEX will give me points for this purchase??

As for the "Cash back is not offered on fee-free promotional codes.", I cannot offer any insight... but, I don't really care. I mean, buying a gift card, at 100% face value + free shipping, with a miles-earning credit card (to meet minimum spend) is a damn good deal in my book.

If I get cash-back, well that's just icing on the cake.

And, yes my pending AMEX charge also shows as "AMEX GIFT CARD".
