All of which it seems are steps which are really beyond most people's ability comprehend and execute properly.

You dont need codes, innuendo, or even the ability to read, everyone's wish will be granted.

If we could just simply remove all this silly work, steps, and especially discretion, I think its fair to just request the miles and points magically appear into our accounts whenever we snap our fingers.

Trick or treat!
I'm not sure MMS' readers should be allowed out of the house unsupervised at all. I thought I'd seen it all but today's photographic step-by-agonizing-step tutorial takes the cake!

On the other hand, those stores do not mind to sell prepaid Visa/MC/AMEX with CC. In my point of view, gift cards (MC, Visa, AMEX) are most sensitive, since you bought it and nobody can track it. Stores can check ID. Why on earth they force this "cash only" thing? What am I missing?

So $22.5k good for 112.5k UR points. Nice one, however you will definitely be at the top of the OrderBy Desc statement in their report query, hahaha.

Ok, so how did you load those cards? ...over a period of time? And, how did you spend or cash them?

There are many ways to skin a cat... and by skin a cat, I mean cash out vanilla reloads.

Sadly all of my ODs are out of reloads so now I am down to like a measly ~15k per month spend at office supply stores that I can easily cash out.

It's hard to believe Chase wouldn't have heartburn over that. Even for a legitimate business that has monster-big spending for office supplies, a sudden uptick of $25K+ or more in charges would have to set off a red flag...

Wow, I've never written a critical post of one of the bloggers, but today's MMS is truly a sad day.

Does he wipe butts and help people tie their shoes, too?

The more people I talk to, the more it appears that you can purchase what you want at OD. I am really starting to wonder how much truth there is in accounts being closed or being flagged by Chase. I don't believe anyone has conclusive evidence that anyone has had a problem purchasing beans at OD. Till then, take it for what it's worth. It appears to be hear say.

Data Point

Just a quick data point. I used my bluebird at Costco yesterday without having to enter a pin number. Two separate transactions went through no problem. So unless they changed their policy about credit cards, this is a nice little bonus since I don't have to use my debit card anymore.

Also, my local OD grew a dozen more beans over the weekend. I'll be visiting often.

I try to be polite on discussion forums, but if you believe that there are folks that buy 50+ cards at a time on multiple occasions, then I got a bridge I can sell ya in Manhattan. And I accept Vanilla Reload cards for payment.

As for buying bean cards, I thinkiIt depends a lot on the store you go to...or for that matter, what manager is on duty. I got told one day at the OD I frequent that I can only buy one card at a time. I was told this was their "policy". I didn't bother pointing out that I've purchased several at a time on numerous occasions, because I didn't want the b*ttwipe going back to the management team in some meeting and actually changing the store policy. I just went back the next day, a different guy was on duty, and I bought 4.

Ultimately, if you get lucky enough to find a store that is well stocked, and you get to know the regular cashiers...THAT is the golden ticket. They smile when I walk in and never ask for ID any more. They just ring em up.

God I hope this lasts.
