VOS, I am having trouble placing this private beach. Perhaps you can help. The beach can be accessed through PJ's or through the path from the main part of the property that, if you are standing at PJ's facing the water, is to the left.

Once at that beach it seems to be all public. Again using the PJ's-looking-out-perspective there is a little cove up around to the left, but that is not easily accessed, looks sort of dangerous and not private. Other that that it all was open beach IIRC for any FS customer or the public. Please help me figure out where I am going wrong. Thanks! DR

Stand facing the beach. On your right is the Kid's Club (far, far right from PJs). Walk right, past the Kid's Club and you will be met by a security guard. Beyond this point is the Estates' private beach, which also has access via door to the little street which divides the Estates from the main resort.

Got it?

well driving rain you would have a lot of trouble finding a private beach anywhere in Bali....not even the batujimbar estates ..have a private beach.........secluded ones maybe but not private eg east bali , nusa dua ......depending where....eg conrad

Right. Ok, I think I got it. So its more of a seating area than a private beach up over the retaining wall just like the rest of the FS' beach chairs, but in a separate section on the other side of the kids club.

Thanks!

With respect, Bearbrick, I have sat on the private beach which belongs to FS Jimbaran Bay Estate Homes. It is, I promise you, PRIVATE. FS created it 3 years ago and it is very special indeed.

that's what struck me as odd as I thought all Bali beaches are public. And it seems that assumption is correct as the Estates "beach" is more of a beach lounge section above the retaining wall than actual private access to a slice of the surf.

Just when I thought I had it figured out!

So they do have a private piece of surf? Or is it a private beach lounge area above the retaining wall that shares the surf with the public?

The private beach for the Estates is around 200 yards long and around 60 ft deep, but I am pretty bad at measurements (this is Mr Vuitton's estimate).

The beach area, shaded by trees and set with loungers is private, but obviously, if someone wants to swim past from the main Jimbaran beach, then they probably can as you cannot privatise the ocean.

Security is quite strict. You have to show your Estate Key to gain access to the beach.

Essentially, this is your private stretch of surf and decidedly your private stretch of sandy beach. It feels incredibly quiet and calm and is beautifully manicured.
