Would you share where you were offered the $350/night rate through? Was it a travel agent or contacting the hotel direct?
Thanks!

BTW, has the new Resort Manager of the FS Sayan arrived yet? She was supposed to come from FS Maldives.

Returning to Bali again in March. Thought about staying at the FS JB Residence Villa. Any recent experiences? Pros and cons? Could not find much info (reviews) googling it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I stayed multiple times at the FS JB (the highest two bedroom OF villa) and FS Sayan (loved their Royal Villa). I will be going to Indonesia again next March splitting it between Amanjiwo (booked the Dalem Jiwo Suite) and Bali. I was planning on booking the 2 bedroom OF villa again, but then noticed much better rates for their Residence Villas. Much bigger and cheaper. What would you recommend? Is it worth it to stay at the Residence Villa? Interestingly, our booking falls on the Nyepi Day. They allow you to book the RV, but I found out that all RV would be closed for stay on that day. What will they do if we book it? Will they move us to the villa "within" a resort? Has anyone stayed at the Villa Devatas? The place sounds sensational. any info/suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Kagehitokiri. Not planning on staying in Ubud this time. Stayed at all 3 Aman properties in Bali in the past. Prefer FS there. Is there any benefit booking the Residence Villa through FSPP? Upgrading to a 3 bedroom villa makes no difference (I guess) and the villa comes with breakfast. Have you stayed at the RV yourself?

By RV I'm guessing you mean Residential Villa rather than the Royal Villa, am I correct? Personally, I prefer the location of the royal villa (#100 is the one I stay at).
If you have more friends/family travelling with you I suggest also taking #101next door. Its a one bed suite but theres so much shared space in the 2 bed royal villa you could all spend your time there.

Yes, I meant the Residence Villa. Interestingly, both Royal Villas are booked for some days during our stay. We will be there for 14 days and would have to alternate between both villas. We do not want to do that. If there is a cancellation then I will reconsider it, but I do not want to count on that. There will be four of us.

I love the Residences (in fact they are called Estate Homes), but do make sure you get one on the front row as these have little gates that take you across the small road to the Estate Homes' private beach. For a party of four, I would try to get Estate Home #6.

one thing about the front row villlas - if i recall the rather busy main road is beyond the wall and then the beach [ dont think its private - one of the FS restaurants also on that beach ? ] ..anyhow......the resting pavilion at the end of the pool can over look the road .......the last time i stepped inside the FS bali was a while back ....maybe after the bombings at jimbaran beach seafood restaurants ..they have created more buffers...

The road is extremely narrow and not very busy at all. The meditation pavilion of Estate #6 does indeed sit by the wall next to the road but this is the nearest you ever get to the road as the Estate's garden and private pool are very large and the accommodation is set right back from the road, so there is no noise at all, from my experience. I was not distracted by any noise even when sitting in the meditation pavilion for an hour or so.
Over the past few years, the trees and vegetation have grown up to such an extent that you are now hardly aware of the road. This has also served to buffer any noise.
The private beach was created especially for guests of the Estates, and yes, it is private. It was only put together 3 years ago and adjoins the main beach area, where there is indeed a restaurant - PJs. It is a particularly lovely beach, shaded by trees and with dedicated staff for drinks and snack service.
