FS HK has great views over the harbor from the cardio machines as well a nice set of equipment and the usual good service.
I agree with an earlier poster who mentioned the RC and FS that connected to the SportsClub LA gyms

The views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor from the gym at the R-C BP are pretty nice, as well. Gym is decent.

SR Beijing surprised me recently. Spacious and good equipment. Large pool and good amenities.

The PHT had for many years far and away the best gym of any luxury hotel, but the competition has improved. For me, the view wasn't that big a deal. It was the service, the perfectly fitting gym clothes and shoes for the business traveler who didn't bring any, the hot tubs, yoga classes, etc. The Olympus Club at the Hyatt in Seoul was also pretty good, but I haven't been in years.

As a former Sports Club LA member I agree that those are top notch clubs in the US.

As for power plates, I see them at a lot of hotels nowadays. Even the IC Le Grand in Paris has one. The new gym at the MO HKG has very advanced technology if you are into that sort of thing.

And lastly, probably the best in Europe is the Victoria Jungfrau Spa at Interlaken, Switzerland.

Corinthian Towers -- Prague

Hello FTers,

I will weigh in and say I was highly impressed with the Corinthian Towers in Prague.

It's on a high floor. Indoor swimming pool, weight room, cardio stuff, separate men's and women's spas. Each spa has a sauna, steamroom, relaxing room and cold plunge. The shower area has three shower stalls, nicely appointed changing room. Several massage rooms.

David

Mandarin Oriental Bangkok-located in the spa opposite the river from the main part of the hotel. Fitness butlers bring you a towel, water, headset and even have a cool towel and and a refreshing shot glass size smoothie when you're done.

No gym without windows would ever get my vote, so I would have to disqualify One Aldwych on that basis alone (plus its lack of a Stairmaster or other stepclimber last time I checked).
The FS Miami is also (physically) connected to a Sports Club/LA. It has a wonderful swimming pool too. Although I don't think it's a resort (OP had asked in another thread about city "resort" hotels - I think a hotel needs more for me to think of it as a resort). Robyn

Although I didn't like the rest of the hotel, the gym at the St Regis Monarch Beach is nice. Great steam/spa facilities too. FS Hong Kong is also great.

That reminds me of Bacara. Excellent gym and spa in Santa Barbara.

The hotel gym that's most impressed me is the vast new gym at the re-opened Dolder Grand in Zurich. Vast, high ceilings, lots of light, and more equipment than I've ever seen in a hotel gym. In some ways, I'd prefer to work out there on a regular basis than the Equinox to which I belong.

Thumbs up Peninsula NYC - Best hotel operated gym in NYC

OK, I think I found the best hotel operated gym in NYC - The Peninsula Hotel NYC. The hotel renovated the Spa/Fitness area and it looks and feels great. All the equipment are brand new Lifecycles including a nice selections of Machine and free weights. The Gym is located on the top floor of the hotel with a really nice view of the NY skyline.. The Pool is located on the same floor. Also, it is one of a very hotels that have a sun deck.

The remodelled Spa is fantastic - especially the large treatment room, the relaxation room, and the his/her steam room - the tilings in the room is gold embossed and is a design wonder!
