Very bad reviews on Tripadvisor of the rooms in the new building of Hospes Maricel. I would go back, but only stay in the old building.

It's scary how fast things change in the hotel business, but my latest experience of Hospes Maricel was nowhere near as good as my first. Staff was very arrogant, food was not as good and yes, I agree about the new build across the road. What a pity! Cross this one off the list.

Oh dear. Was that this summer? Last August I thought the food and service were excellent.

Yes, very recently. Hopefully they will perk up and do something about it. Maybe there has been a change in staff/chef, in which case Hospes should look into it as Maricel used to be lovely.

That's a real shame. Might try the Son Net instead next time. Have never stayed there.

Son Net is inland of course but it has the most beautiful views. It is probably the best in Mallorca now - a very civilised experience although the beds are a bit hard...

Things continue to change. Heard from a friend that Los Monteros has closed with no explaination. How very sad, the place had a special chareter to it.
