It's been a few years myself since staying there, but it was excellent. The best part (not sure if they still do this), is that the room service menu is identical to the house restaurant, One, so you get the same quality and selection of one of Toronto's best restaurants all to your room in what for me was always less than 20 minutes

Taj Falaknuma Palace is a clear winner here for me - a cut or two above the rest of the places I've stayed at. My only gripe there was wireless was not free; other than that, I am really struggling to find any faults with anything.

MO Bangkok and Peninsula Bangkok are situated right across from each other. I've stayed at both once.
If I ever go back to BKK (which I will at some time) I will be wracked by indecisiveness on which open to pick. It will be bittersweet.

Interior designer Jacque Grange shares his favorite (not best, but I thought I'd include it here) destinations with Sophia Coppola in W Magazine:

Those photos all look fabulous.
Jacque Grange designed this apartment on the Place des Vosges for the new wife of an old friend of mine from Sydney - http://pavillondemadame.com/decor.html
It looks fabulous and is available for rent
