Meet & Greet at airport gate in HKG

Scanning through various web-sites, I see that both the Four Seasons and the Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong will arrange to meet you at the gate immediately when you get off the plane and whisked you through immigration when you pre-arrange an airport transfer.

Does any other hotel offer this service? I have just arranged a transfer by Rolls Royce with the Peninsula and the email I got back just said to go to the Peninsula Hotel Transportation Centre after we pick up our bags.

Is this offered by the hotel itself or by an independant firm at the the airport who I can contact direct?

The LMO offers this service whether or not you pre-arrange an airport transfer: they are quite happy to escort you to the train as well, and I presume that this also applies for the FS.

The service is carried out by a third party firm to whom the work is subcontracted. I did a quick search on the internet, and came up with Worldwide Flight Services. See this for information. There is a contact name to book the service directly. If you do so, could you please give feedback as to how much it costs?

Alternatively, you can contact your hotel and they can arrange this for you in addition to the car service. They probably already have an account with this ground services company at the airport.

Trust the Peninsula for accurate information. Their transfer service from the airport is flawless. ^

But the service seems not to include the meet and greet service from the aircraft to the arrivals area.

I used the Sheraton hotel car service last time I was in HK and here's what I found out:

There's a group of booths for various hotels (the Pen, MO/LMO, Sheraton, IC, etc.) on the right end of the terminal, once you have exited customs. I just showed up there and someone took me down to the lower levels where a car was waiting. Both the airport Sheraton booth person and the driver wore a Sheraton uniform. Not sure if the Pen would have someone right outside customs to meet and greet, but the booths are not too far from where you exit customs.

The driver informed me that the car service is actually provided by a third party firm, which provides the drivers for each hotel to select from. The drivers wear the hotel uniforms and are then considered assigned to each hotel. I had a great experience with the Sheraton service.

You can always specifically request this service when booking car transfers from the airport to the hotel. The concierge at the hotel will tell you the extra cost and book the "meet at aircraft" service fo you in addition to the car service.

I would assume so. My comment was only meant to indicate that however good people might consider the Pen's service to be, as standard it does not have the meet and greet service, which was what the OP was interested in.

Of course the real way to do this is to take the helicopter to the helipad on the roof of the Pen. Expensive but sometimes good for a nice upgrade at the hotel. The luggage can come in the Rolls, if necessary (I never have that much luggage arriving into HKG).

Have thought about that seriously but we arrive at 10:25pm at night and I do not think the helicopters run that late. Also do not want to hang around at the hotel waiting for the bags to arrive by road.

If anyone is interested, you can get a corporate rate for an a VIP package (charperone, shuttle & porter) for HK$450 per couple.

A helicopter transfer is HK$8,000 between the airport and the Peninsula Hotel which includes the free transfer of your bags by road. Only allowed to fly between 9am-5pm.

FSHK Airport Transfer Service + α?

I read that a staff will meet you at the gate and escort you through the immigration, but does this service get you a room upgrade (subject to availability), etc? If not, I would take the airport express or use my company's preferred limo vendor for half the money. Thanks in advance
