I could care less about drones, but I do need to know what type of car we're talking about. I'm thinking a Veyron.

FACT: That drone was sent up by staff and management and was trying to scope out the lizard that bothered you so.

This is a MAJOR issue for us. Lack of privacy is a big thing and heaven forbid a video gets posted without anyone's consent.

The Jumeriah hasn't guaranteed that a guest Won't fly a drone.

AM I overreacting here? It seems the only resort without a drone policy is the Gili Lankafushi and possibly Cheval blanc.
Guilty.

You shouldn't be doing anything outdoors that you wouldn't comfortably do in public anyway, right? Or am I the only one who thinks doing deeply intimate things in your "private outdoors area" not acceptable (or comfortable in the weather)?

You mustn´t have sex outdoors to be uncomfortable being watched by drones. I don´t want pictures by third parties from me in bath clothes! Also at many hotels of this kind they have for example big bathroom windows or outdoor showers. They are not observable from outside and peolpe are often nude in this areas. Most people don´t wonna be watched while showering.....

Yea I guess so, but I doubt many people with quadcopters are there to shoot a porn video. If I see something in my shots inappropriate for Youtube in my video I'd edit it out.

Not sure the nature of this shot but I wouldn't be happy to have a drone buzzing around if I was enjoying the beach club... Maybe it was a commercial shoot...

Doesn't matter that if they didn't take pictures of me; how would I know???

Note this was reposted on Dolphin capital investments Instagram so management clearly knows that there is drone usage (plus I'm pretty sure they have a number of their own drone shots).

We had a drone hovering above our pool at the FS Seychelles. I called security and they had a stern talk with the guest and didn't see it again.

I Probably could have escalated it but was having such a good stay otherwise that I didn't want to bother. When we left I emailed the GM about it and he was very apologetic and promise to make sure it wouldn't be an issue in the future.

We will have situations when commercial shots are done when no hotel will ban drones. In this case hotel should clearify in advance. Not a big issue in the case in my opinion.
