Interesting that Ali Albwardy is the owner (he owns several FS around the world and has been looking at the Seychelles for years).

Also interesting that FS are going for remote islands these days (like the new one in the Maldives).

Desroches is on the outer edge of the Indian Ocean’s archipelago, among the Amirantes Islands, which is a 35 minute flight southwest of Mahé. Quite different from the existing Seychelles FS, as it has 14 km of beaches.

Nice size, too, with 40 beach suites and 11 private residence villas.

Agreed - frankly, I'm excited.

I am a big fan of FS service in tropical island settings and this looks like an interesting addition.

Albwardy works with HPL(ong)

hopefully they do not add rooms to desroches

HPL is public company, so has financials online
AR dated mar 28 confirmed HPL bought nam hai

if GHM lose nam hai, down to 3 as scented mentioned
presumably 'focus' will be JV china (chedi & anh luh)

refurbishing some of our existing properties.
Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is currently undergoing a major refurbishment
Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa is also undergoing a major refurbishment of its water villas.

In the Maldives, we are in the process of developing an exclusive private island resort concept for a select few ultra high net worth guests.

We continue to look further afield in Seychelles for an extension holiday destination to supplement our existing resort.

just purchased The Nam Hai

2. Hotel du Palais to be managed by FS.
3. Lake Como, Italy
4. Tunis

I know that FS have been looking at CastaDiva on Lake Como for a couple of years, so I wonder if they finally took the plunge. Nice if they did, as it's a great location.

What kind of salary would a GM in that position command in the industry? I don't work in this space and have always wondered what comp was like.

If you speak about Hotel du Palais it used to be seasonal but for several years now it's open all year round.
