DC for a Month Ritz GT vs Ritz West End

Greetings!

Will be in DC for a month...options are Ritz DC or Georgetown. Since i am not paying for it those are the only choices. Looking for thoughts specific to entry level rooms, service, etc

Thanks!

If I had to stay at one of the Ritzes in DC for a month then I would definitely chose the West End location, primarily for the attached Equinox athletic club. Definitely a huge perk for a month stay to have access to a real gym.

Good point FDW.

I'd go with the Georgetown prop, mainly because it's close to Georgetown

Good point... though the West End location is walking distance to both GEorgetown and Dupont Circle, plus closer to the metro...

However, I haven't stayed at the West End location but have stayed at the PH which is reasonably nearby... and also near the GW Hospital so ambulance noise is also a concern.

I would avoid RC Georgetown -- the service is poor and there isn't a proper gym. Traffic on M Street is usually a nightmare and Uber can be sparse at key rush hour times.

Here is my report of my recent visits to RC Georgetown, FS DC and Capella DC.

I would pick the West End. The attached Equinox is a big+, you can walk to the Dupont Metro in 10 minutes if needed and you are across the street from Rasika, which is probably the best Indian restaurant in the US.

West end for location and gym. Not a fan of Georgetown or all the traffic on M Street.

I'm a fan of the west end property. GT feels like a Ritz-lite.

Georgetown was last considered "trendy," "hip," "hot," "classy" in the 1980s.
