On 18 March 2015, the Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a renowned international resort investor relating to a potential €20 million equity investment in the project, in return for a 50% shareholding stake in the Kea Resort. Should this investment reach a binding agreement, the Company’s interest in the project would be reduced to c.34%
MoU may not close, as it says

informal beach club...informal dining area, water sports equipment and a children’s club.

seem to recall plans with pool and bedroom cabanas (like zoe)

updating what i quoted earlier - instead of spending $18m themselves, dolphin (and heah) may sell 50% stake for $18m and drop amanresorts management.

lets hope deal does not close and they just put in the money themselves.

In discussions regarding €18 million of equity investment from a third party joint venture partner to complete project with another luxury operator ... Existing management agreement is with Aman Resorts. DCI is currently in discussions with a joint venture partner, and operator might change, subject to reaching a formal agreement

require an equity contribution either by the Company or in the form of the third party investment discussed above.

"24 Suites and four two-bedroomed Villas"

(posted previously >)
http://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Cons...-central-Japan

site is within the premises of Nemuno Sato Hotel & Resort in the city of Shima. Mitsui Fudosan, which operates the resort, invited Aman to participate.

Mitsui Fudosan is constructing buildings for guest rooms and spa facilities to be operated by Aman, according to sources close to the matter.

Develop the top resort in Asia using the vast NemunoSato site
(We have selected Aman Resorts to operate the new hotel)
seems 740 acres
they acquired from yamaha in 2007

nera and nemu are trademarks registered this year (none in 2014)
ive been slacking off on posting / reading / searching re new aman

http://www.dolphinci.com/wp-content/...150730_rns.pdf

conclusion of this transaction now appears unlikely and the Company has initiated discussions with alternative investment partners.
so kea stays aman for the moment
one lender is greek bank, so slow

Amanperth opening as COMO The Treasury

The Aman-project in Perth in a historical building was rumored here from 2012. After the Doronin-wars we heard, that Aman jumped out of it. And now, all of a sudden, it is nearly finished:

It will open in late 2015 as COMO The Treasury, with a Como Shambala Spa, all managed by Como Hotels & Resorts, which is now CEOed by former GHM CEO Hansjoerg Meier:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/luxury-hotels/1306702-como-hotels-resorts-thread-4.html#post25218666

So this is - after Point Yamu - the second project originally started by Zecha, which Meier now grabbed for Como!

Actually, Hans Joerg Meier only joined COMO this year, so Point Yamu was taken over by COMO whilst Hans was still at GHM.

Progressed the development of Playa Grande Club and Reserve and a ramp up of operations, including the co-ordination of a pre-marketing campaign, ahead of the anticipated opening of the new Amanera Resort on 23 November 2015.

opening of Amanera in November will be a major milestone
anyone who wants spa needs to ask about its construction status

What is it about the pictures that makes you think that? I see a picture of a beach, one of a pool, one of the inside of a villa, and one of a golf course. Beach picture tells us nothing of constuction status. The pool and villa shot could easily be of the demo villa. And the golf course has been there for a while.

Did I miss some pictures?

He was referring to the video posted earlier on Vimeo. The pictures are promo pictures, not indicating any kind of construction status.

Correct.

I didn't post the pictures as some sort of: "hey look guys - they're almost done!"

My statement on Nov. 25th opening comes from talking to numerous people - both inside and outside of Aman - who claim it's almost done.

So, just curious, what do your sources say 'it' is? Will the spa be complete and ready to use? Will the beach club be complete and ready to use? Will all restaurants/bars be complete and ready to use?

It used to be, that if an Aman was open, it meant everything was open and ready to go. That doesn't sound like it's always the case anymore...

The internet is full of correct and incorrect information but I don't think a video of Amanera construction should be pulled because the company was not happy with what was shown. It was shot for the construction company not for Aman I believe. I have walked Playa Grande Beach many times and I can tell you the sand is not that white as depicted in the picture posted. Its an amazing beach but if your thinking Amanpulo white you will be disappointed.
