"Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will open on September 5, 2015 as the third property in the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Reserve collection. Mandapa, a sanctuary to relax one's mind, body, and soul, is an exclusive journey inside an indigenous Balinese village, providing a sensory journey to wellness and nature."
Is this really close enough to be seen from Amandari?

I tried a mock booking on their website, and the rates don't seem that much higher than Amandari and Four Seasons Sayan. The one bedroom pool villas in particular are an excellent value considering their size. DavidO commented that it may be the best property in Ubud now.

Wow pricey... considering most hotels in Bali have transfers inclusive this is unfortunate news...

Just finished three-day stay @ Mandapa. Outstanding in every respect. Upgraded to pool villa, meaning own compound with two buildings (bed/bath and living room), some greenery and my own 10' x 30' infinity pool. Japanese toilet en suite. Likewise espresso maker and tea kettle. A/C was strong, effetively countering the 90/90 heat and humidity.
My personal butler couldn't do enough. Mentioned casually that I love mangosteen. That evening there were a half dozen of them awaiting my return from Ubud adventures. After I mentioned my preference for street food and simple places to eat, she typed up a list of warung that were not the usual tourist spots.
No upselling or tip grovelling.
Had lovely chats with both the GM and rooms manager. Pleasant folks who have been in the trade for a long time.
Nits: TV remote worked strangely. Steep location requires buggy transport for most everywhere. Sauna/steam in spa didn't seem to be working very well.
Last couple days at Amanusa...not even in the same league as Mandapa. Same price per night. Recommend Mandapa without qualification.
