Stathis leases the whole estate of Sveti Stefan in Montenegro, Including all the restaurants and beaches. The government owns the land.

He also has part ownership of Aman Canal Grande - there is a link between the Countess there, as Bianca's family has 'Royal' links with Montenegro.

The pagesix piece has enough info to be picked from context to get a window into how some of the financial structuring was set to grant one party control disproportionate to equity contribution.

This is not a game for amateurs, but I'm not really surprised that even those who ought to be rather sophisticated investors end up sort of hoodwinked and engaged in boardroom politics/corporate fights to the extent they are.

It's a page about new Aman resorts, not a page about Aman battle between Doronin and Amanat... Who cares about it if Aman remains as good as before and from the informations I have Aman is still wonderful and I'll be so happy to return to Kila in September...

Thought he was always out as of August 1st? This isn't a surprise.

Nor is Doronin NOT being CEO. Though I'm positive this isn't the last we've heard from him on this matter.

At least Olivier Jolivet has been with Aman for over 8 years and knows about hotels. That's something...

Here's another article. I'm not familiar with the publication (trustworthy?) , but it seems to offer some clarification as to what is happening at least in the London courts....

doronin loses 2nd appeal in london, before september hearing

Olivier Jolivet is the new interim CEO of Peak Hotels and Resorts, the joint venture holding company that acquired Amanresorts. Mr. Jolivet is the chosen appointee of both Mr. Zecha and Omar Amanat, Chairman of Amanresorts. Mr. Jolivet was appointed over Mr. Doronin’s own candidate. As planned under the shareholders agreement and his existing employment agreement Mr. Zecha will remain as CEO of the Amanresorts hotel operating business.

It seems as though Olivier was appointed as CEO of Peak Hotels & Resorts, whilst Adrian Zecha remains CEO of Aman operations. Very confusing!

zecha said they "just completed resort construction" on jul 24 2012 - was context lost in publication?

even if they did complete "resort construction" 2 years ago, did work continue or cease?
they missed world cup, and olympics are not until aug 2016, another 2 years away
im assuming that this was a management contract, if not doronin might help
seem to recall some other aman owners (of other properties) may have given 2015 as initial estimates.

This is Ian White, a former Amanfayun GM, who will take care of Amanjiwo, one of the most beautiful property. I hope he will do a great job and will take an excellent care of this iconic Aman...
