Thanks for the reviews

The Polynesian show is a joke, they use disco lights which are blinding
the audience leaving the stage in complete darkness. Food is poor
and no selection as it comes to your table and that's it.
The group was so bad dropping the fire torches all the time
and missing steps at some point we started to laugh very loud...
Room service was a big disappointment as they completely didn't care
to make it special. I'm in St Regis now and the room service here
is 1000x better, incredible.
Again, I will try to put together a detailed report comparing all angles
at all 3 hotels at the end.
Thanks (everyone) for taking the time to post here. I was having a hard time deciding on FS or SR or ICT. Today I pushed the button for a week at the ICT based on what I have read. Big_Foot, I look forward to your report - hopefully I made the best choice.

You will not be disappointed. There is some really good feeling about this place.
Hopefully it will be as quiet when you come as it is now - no school holidays,
you feel like there is nobody there.
If you want the bungalow at the end of pontoon with the best view and most
privacy, grab 111. The best angle of view towards Mt Otemanu and the fork
closer to the restaurants.
122, 123 and 124 are all facing Mt Otemanu so you see it from you bed,
very cool except they are close to each other and surrounded by other huts.
Not too much privacy on the deck.
Take the shuttle to LeMoana and have a Bora Bora drink there.
The woman at the bar by the pool has been working there for 24 years,
she is amazing! The place has an authentic vibe about it, really great
lagoon colors view, check my blog, to see it, amazing.
The guy at the Thalasso "improved" Bora Bora drink and unfortunately
it's not as good as it was, he's using apple juice which is a bit... strange.
But he's French, he knows better, you know what I mean LOL
I really love this place, maybe it's sentimental as I have been there 5 times
already... But it's just really, really nice

Anyone have any advice on which bungalow numbers are the best choice in the deluxe lagoon view category??

I agree and would love to know the same. Big_Foot's blog is amazing, but it doesn't address this category of rooms specifically, so I'm hoping he still checks this thread and will chime in soon with his opinion. I have no doubt he's been all over those pontoons chasing light.

Anyone else receive the $1,000 resort credit offer for any booking of 5 nights or more? Wonder if this can be combined with FSPP bookings...

I think all of them are very similar.
The main difference is the fork you pick. 1xx-2xx is much closer to the main area,
3xx-4xx is a really long walk/ride.

I honestly think that it doesn't matter which bungalow you pick
outside of the few special ones (x30). You can prefer sunrise/sunset side,
I would actually always choose sunrise, as they are simply amazing -
require an early call LOL.

We are actually going back in July for a longer stay and we decided
to stay at the Four Seasons only.

I'm gonna rework my blog a bit (and reboot it after a break), but all
my Bora Bora posts can be found using this link:

BTW I've been in touch with the GM of the Four Seasons and he told me
they took some of our criticism very seriously.
They have a new chef and apparently food/restaurant/room service
situation has much improved.

Will report in July

Any recent reviews? Updates on the food.

I am not interested in the trip advisor crowd reviews!

I'm at the Four Seasons again and happy to report the food situation
has improved greatly. Breakfast is great, 10x better than before.
Great choices, tons of good stuff.
Just arrived so haven't had a chance to try everything out yet,
but our dinner last night at the "fancy" place was good too
Michel, the GM is a great, great guy, they are happy to have him here.
He took over this place and it really shows how much he cares.
We love Bora Bora and love this hotel. We keep thinking it's insane
to come back here all the time and then we are here talking about
when we can come again

Yes, but there is a much better choice now. Anything you want.

One other improvement - a few sunset facing bungalows got new pools.
We have one now and it's much bigger than the old ones (even in x30). I think
there are 3 1xx bungalows with new pools, and maybe 2 more on 2xx and 3xx.
Not sure if it's a new category officially.

For those interested I posted a review of their 2-bedroom Beach Villa,
as well as more photos of the resort.

Lovely photos and they show just how beautiful this place can be with a cloudy sky. Everyone seems to want clear blue skies (with attendant fierce heat) but I much prefer an ever-changing sky, especially when I'm taking pictures.
